Relay Peripheral Card - Latching Version 8 Relays

RPC L8 is an Eurocard format, size 100x160 mm, peripheral structure for the logic Output to the external world.

It relies on Abaco® industrial BUS so it can be driven through one of the several CPU or GPC® cards compilant with this BUS.

The board is provided with 8 normally open contacts and normally closed contacts relay outputs with memory, easily software manageable; so it fits to solve all the problems where permanent logic signals must be managed.

In fact the board keeps the status of each output also when power supply fails and is provided with a sophysticated circuitery that warrants the validity of the condition set.

Such circuitery allows also to optimize the consumption, in fact it supplies the output section just and only when a setting operation is performed.

All the output signals are available on a comfortable connector installed on the front side of the board, that can be used to interface directly to the external world.

By software the control board can set the status of the 8 output signals and read back its status, through simple byte-level read-write operations.

Modularity of RPC L8 card makes it the ideal component to build distribuited logic systems. Should more output lines be needed, more than one card can be installed on ABACO® Industrial Bus, the User just needs to configure their addresses through a comfortable dip switch.

• 1 byte of addressing space used both for read and write
• Output activation time 9 ms. triggered with the write operations
• Power supply voltages:
  • +5 Vdc -> 160 mA. all outputs off
    • -> 240 mA. all outputs off
  • +12 Vdc -> 55 mA.
    • -> 175 mA. when triggering outputs
